Windey Showcases at Western China International Fair
On May 25, the 20th Western China International Fair (hereinafter referred to as "WCIF"), hosted by the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, opened in Chengdu. Centered on the theme of "Deepening Reform to Boost Momentum, Expanding Openness to Drive Development," the event invited Hungary and Laos as guest countries, and Zhejiang and Qinghai provinces as guest provinces, creating a vital platform for global exchange and serving the Belt and Road Initiative and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. As a global leader in smart energy technology solutions, Windey was invited to participate, showcasing its closed-loop system spanning new energy production, storage, transportation, and end-use consumption, with a focus on its systematic layout in the hydrogen-ammonia-alcohol sector.
During the expo, senior officials including Peng Qinghua, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress; Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial People’s Congress; Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Sichuan Province; and Li Yanyi, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province, visited Windey’s exhibition hall, accompanied by Chen Jian’gang, Deputy General Manager of Windey. Mr. Li Yanyi affirmed Windey’s achievements, encouraging the company to solidify its position as an industry leader, expand its influence, and drive high-quality development in the wind power sector.
Technological Breakthroughs Lead Offshore Energy Development
At the core of the exhibition, Windey highlighted innovations in marine energy. Models of its typhoon-resistant wind turbine units—the WD200-62500S and WD225-90000S—alongside 10MW to 18MW floating units formed a "Deep Blue Matrix." The typhoon-resistant units utilize modular composite foundation technology to improve power generation stability by 35%, while the floating units adopt a "one unit, one storage" design to ensure power supply during extreme weather and meet grid frequency regulation needs. Inland, a multi-energy complementary model demonstrated solutions for ultra-large wind turbine deployment in deserts and Gobi regions, as well as rural diversified tower solutions, underscoring Windey’s expertise in adapting clean energy technologies to local conditions.
Smart Energy Storage Empowers New Power Systems
To enhance energy efficiency, Windey unveiled its intelligent Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), which optimizes electricity costs through dynamic peak shaving and valley filling while bolstering grid stability. Interactive screens demonstrated real-time system regulation, drawing significant visitor attention. The company also strengthened its wind power supply chain capabilities in blades, towers, and other core components to accelerate large-scale new energy development. Its "Smart Chain" technology provides critical support for building a low-carbon, intelligent power system.
Green Cycle Model Tackles Energy Consumption Challenges
To address renewable energy integration challenges, Windey proposed its "Green Cycle" solution, offering stable green power to energy-intensive industries via distributed consumption models and independent energy storage stations. A highlight was the 200,000-ton biomass methanol project in Handan, Hebei, which uses straw and green hydrogen technology to produce internationally certified marine fuel, slated for operation by 2026. Additionally, a partnership with Geely Group for a 500,000-ton CO2-to-methanol project will utilize wind and solar-generated hydrogen to consume 750,000 tons of CO2 annually. Upon completion in 2030, it will support 5,000 methanol-powered commercial vehicles. These initiatives establish a full industrial chain of "green power-green hydrogen-green fuel" and pioneer carbon capture resource utilization.
Leveraging the WCIF platform, Windey will deepen its development path of "rooted in the West, radiating nationwide, and connecting globally." By strengthening its brand through international expos, enhancing supply chain resilience in western China, and fostering open collaboration to share green energy dividends, Windey advances Chinese solutions for global dual-carbon goals.
